As an Associate Product Manager for Statements, you will continually work to understand the customer needs, business objectives and technology capabilities to deliver. You'll work closely with your Product Manager and development team using product discovery techniques to valid ideas, provide insight, set clear priorities and ensure they build impactful features which make a measurable improvement to IG's objectives.

Your role in the team:


Product management is the practice of strategically driving the development, market launch, and continual support and improvement of IG's products and services.


What you’ll do:


We're looking for tenacious, curious, eager and open-minded people to help us maintain our industry leadership.


As an Associate Product Manager, you will:


  • Work with the Product Manager, Technical Team Lead to define and execute the product strategy
  • Work with your team to deliver both innovative initiatives and strategic company objectives
  • Support discovery, analysis and measuring the value of new features, seeking outcomes which support our objectives and key results
  • Build new features by breaking down and scoping the work with the development team - as building products is a team sport!
  • Work alongside key stakeholders, including technology, commercial, marketing and operations
  • Act as product owner for the scrum team: define user stories, prioritise the backlog, help set sprint goals and accept the completed work meets definition of done

What you’ll need for this role :


Associate Product managers are all builders at heart – people who like to bring concepts to life that make the world better for our customers. To be an excellent Associate Product Manager you need to be a master of many skills – most of them understanding people, so being a “people person” is essential in this role. Other key skills include loving solving problems, overcoming hurdles and focusing on creating the best possible experience for our customers within time and resource boundaries.


  • Delivered multiple features via an agile software delivery cycle, experienced with projects at scale, with several different streams and different stakeholders
  • Experience using prioritisation methods to assess value
  • Experience of tracking success metrics, setting up KPIs and ideally OKRs
  • Experience of discovery validation techniques such as A/B testing, rapid concept testing, prototyping
  • Demonstrable ability to write user stories, manage product backlog and work with the development team
  • Experienced in agile delivery methods such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certified
  • Great team motivator
  • Ability to negotiate, inspire and support stakeholders
  • Work alongside key stakeholders, including technology, commercial and operations
  • Understand commercial imperatives of how IG products work and the commercial models that underpin them.
